Spring Creative Classes

Hey all, I've put together a variety of new class offerings to peek your imagination and poke your creative self. I hope you can join me for one of the following adventures in art! see you soon, Lisa

•3/3 Saturday 10:30-2:30: Introduction to ipad drawing
$35, add $15 for delicious Ranch lunch or bring sack lunch
This class will cover drawing techniques on your ipad using the "Brushes" app. I'll cover basic techniques of brush strokes, layering and using a photo as the base of your art. We will experiment with still life, landscape and portraits, I will also share different ways of printing and using you ipad drawing. You need an ipad loaded with the Brushes app and optional stylus (your finger fine works too!). Minimum 5- Maximum 15 participants

•3/4 Sunday 10:30-3:00: Stamps Carving & Stencil Cutting.
$5o, add $15 for delicious Ranch lunch or bring sack lunch
In this class you will carve and print your own stamps and use heat pens to cut stencils to make 2 and 3 color prints. You can use your stamps to make your own beautiful papers for collage or cards, even banners and t-shirts.
Minimum 5- Maximum 8 participants

•3/23-25 Encaustic Collage Weekend Retreat
$355, includes 2 nights lodging and meals, instruction and materials
Give yourself the luxury of a whole weekend of art exploration. You will create small collage pieces on wood using art papers, old maps, photos and other ephemera. The collage is then covered with hot encaustic medium (a mixture of resin and beeswax). Classes include demos of techniques and lots of time to play and experiment. All materials are included and no prior experience is needed. Friday evening begins with dinner followed by a quiet evening for you to relax and settle in. Saturday studio time will be from 9:30-4 with a break for a delicious Ranch made lunch. After 4pm there's time for a hike or relaxing before a 6pm social, then off to another great Ranch dinner. The evening will be left to you, to read, relax and wander or return to the art center to explore on your own. Sunday morning we will resume our creative pursuits, there will be a post-lunch sharing circle, then clean up and pack up by 3pm. Minimum 5- Maximum 8 participants

•5/6 Sunday 10:00-4:00: Encaustic Collage 1 day class
$70 You will create small collage pieces on wood using art papers, old maps, photos and other ephemera. The collage is then covered with hot encaustic medium (a mixture of resin and beeswax). Classes include demos of techniques and time to play and experiment. All materials are included and no prior experience is needed. Participants bring a sack lunch.
Minimum 5- Maximum 8 participants
