Cut-Glue-Wax-Embellish. That’s it, that’s encaustic collage. Come to this fantastic Playshop with Lisa Thorpe, and enjoy a lovely day of creative process and go home with a stack of your creative products. No experience is needed just a willingness to experiment and play. Lisa will bring her stash of art papers, embellishments, wax and tools. To start the day she will demonstrate the techniques in making a collage with important gluing tips and then applying the encaustic wax encasement. You’ll then texturize and embellish the surface. Finally you will be set loose to create small wax-encased collages on wood panels, all the while Lisa offers guidance. By the end of the day you’ll carry home 3-4 small art pieces to share and enjoy.
