We will discuss them all then make cards reflecting that exploration. \nThis is a creative process of self-discovery. Using images\, intuition and imagination to gently lead into deeper realms of the unconscious\, teaching you to trust your own inner knowing\, a creative process of inner growth\, and a journey to larger connection. \nDuring this session\, you will make one or two MOTHER Cards (however you define it) to begin build your personal deck. SUMMARY:Bird Box Fabric Collage: Art & Soul Portland
DESCRIPTION:Lisa will provide a variety of backyard bird images printed on cotton selected randomly for you. She will also share her process of creating these images and how she prints them on her home printer for you to try later. Along with bird of your choice she’ll share hand printed and dyed fabric and paper ephemera to include in your fabric collage. After a demonstration of design and composition each participant will begin creating their own Bird Box art quilt. Stitch can be added by machine or hand stitch or a combination of both. By the end of the day everyone will have a sweet 11×14” art quilt featuring a back yard bird ready to pop into a shadow box frame or finish any way you choose. \nINFO HERE \nMaterials Fee $25 paid at beginning of class includes: \n• One printed fabric bird pre-fuse to felt (you choose your bird from large\nselection available)\n• 11×14 inch pre-fused felt backing\n• Fabric and paper ephemera for embellishment\n• plus oodles of Bird Box examples to inspire.\nSupplies Needed  to bring for Class: \n• Small pieces of fabric to use in collage. Batiks and hand dyed and printed fabrics are particularly nice. DESCRIPTION:Join Lisa Thorpe in a day of reflection\, remembering and making. You can choose one or more influential person in your life to honor. Bring a photo/s of a beloved to celebrate. If you don’t have a photo chose papers\, images and poems from her collection to use in your accordion collage book. You don’t have to bring anything\, everything will be provided to make one accordion collage book of honoring. The folded book you make can honor one person or many\, it can have two pages or ten\, it’s up to you! No art experience needed\, appropriate for adults and teens. \nRegister for workshop at Trinity Cathedral Little Rock Here \nAt the end of class participants will set up a collective altar in the chapel at Trinity Cathedral. There is a special All Saints Service at Trinity Cathedral Little Rock on Tuesday November 2nd\, 7pm. If you would like your book of honoring to be a part of that service you can leave on the decorated altar until the end of that service\, others will be invited to bring pictures and flowers to add as well.

DESCRIPTION:Lenten Reflection Day is designed to take time to be mindful of what Lent calls us to do and who to be. We will discuss and tease out the layers of the three traditional practices taken up during Lent  (prayer\, fasting\, and almsgiving). Join me in a day of mixed modality mindfulness hosted by Trinity Episcopal Cathedral. We will reflect on the three Lenten practices and as Pope Francis suggests find ways to make that practice concrete. Each person will make a set of Lenten cards to count the days of Lent. Like it’s familiar counting cousin\, the Advent calendar\, these cards will mark the days of Lent. Instead of the candy or treats of the Advent calendar your Lenten cards will challenge you each day to make the practice of Lent concrete. The day will also include mixed modality prayer and meditation and community kinship.\nThis workshop is for all – no art experience necessary\, just an open heart and mind!
