SUMMARY:Repeat Pattern Stamp Live Zoom Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Sunday September 17th 12:30-3:30 pm Central time( Don’t worry if you are unable to attend live class – recording is available to all participants for 2 weeks) \nLearn the art of creating interlocking repeat patterns. Design your stamp then carve and print to create boarders and all over print designs. You’ll make at least two hand carved stamps to use again and again in art quilts\, collage\, mixed media art and wearables. I will also share ways to colorize using dye pastels\, intense pencils and paint. All levels welcome. \nKit include 3 softkut blank stamps in 3 sizes and shapes\, versacraft ink pad in black for fabric and paper arts\, #2 carving tool. Info sheet with design and carving tips and resource list so you can continue your exploration beyond class. \nParticipants will need to have sketchbook or plain paper\, pencil\, scissors\, pack of wet wipes or available sink for washing ink off stamp and fingers.

DESCRIPTION:Create your own repeat pattern stamps to use again and again on fabric and paper. I will teach you how to carve both simple and elaborate repeat pattern blocks to use as focal points or boarders in your fabric art\, mixed media art and art quilting. You will also learn how to colorize your designs using fabric dye pastels making the design possibilities endless with the unique and personal stamp blocks. The morning will be devoted to designing and carving up to 6 repeat pattern blocks in 3 sizes.
