Let Me Light Up Your Life
On Thursday November 21st I get to have a brand new experience. I am teaching a live on-line art seminar. I will be sharing how to make these fantastic little luminarias and string light covers our of Grafix Dura-lar. The seminar is basically a live step by step power point in which participants can ask questions. Another great thing is that even is you can’t join in on the day you can still download the web seminar and learn how to make them and get the patterns to download. This is a wonderfully accessible project. All ages and skill levels can make something wonderful. It can be a great way to make luminous gift or do a group project. It is hosted by Interweave Press, publishers of Cloth Paper Scissors and Quilting Arts Magazines which I have had some articles in over the past few years. I hope you’ll sign up either for the live class or just download and learn at your leisure. Here is the Class sign up link!
Enjoy!

I want to get started asap. Should I get the 9×12, or 11×14 matte?

Jane the 9×12 is the siae I use. with one sheet you can make 2 on the little Luminaria that slip over battery tea lights or 4 of the string light barrel covers. feel free to contact me with more questions.

I just signed up! I think I can participate in the live webinar if all goes well at school that day. I’m thinking it will work for the holiday art class with 4th-8th graders-what so you think? Looking forward to seeing you live on the web!

Sandy, this will be a great project for holiday art class with 4th-8th graders. I did it with little kids 5-7 year olds and they enjoyed what they made. If you have questions after watching the web seminar about the best approach with kids just touch base with me.
