This is It

This piece features photos of everyday wonder and delight. Embedded in the grid of photos are stitched the words “THIS IS IT”. Can you find them?  The piece is of a treasure hunt of sorts, of delight, small wonders, and an invitation to mindfulness. The fabric photos are pieces like a traditional quilt and densely stitched this is a reference the the bed quilts made by my fore-mothers. They were meant to provide warmth and comfort to the user and provide a creative outlet for the maker. I want this art quilt to evoke the same feeling. 44×56″ created Fall 2023
