Class will begin by learning how to use fabric dye pastels and then colorizing the nine 4\u00d74\u2033 bird block prints provided in your kit. Then let the stitch begin! Lisa will teach a stitch technique that borrows from the traditional Japanese styles of boro patches and sashiko stitch and sprinkles in a bit of grandma\u2019s crazy quilting too. Your kit has three 9x9inch hand dyed indigo panels you can add other fabrics of your choice to finish out the other 6 squares. Your finished blocks can be framed individually or stitch together in any combination to create a larger art quilt or strung together to create a set of pennants. Lisa will show you lots of examples and share finishing ideas and techniques too.
