When you sign up for class you will email photo of your pet to me\u2013 I&#8217;ll manipulate your pet photo in the Oli app and print on cotton fabric in two color ways for you to play with. If you don\u2019t have a pet picture just request a cat, dog, rabbit etc and I will create an image for you. I will share my process of creating these images and how I print them on my home printer for you to try later. After a demonstration of design and composition each participant will begin creating their own <strong><em>Pet Project<\/em><\/strong> art quilt. By the end of class you will be on your way to creating a sweet 12&#215;12\u201d art quilt, featuring your pet! <em><strong>Sign up closes August 10th so don&#8217;t delay! purchase class under my shop\/classes menu<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>What&#8217;s in the Kit? &#8211; <\/strong><strong>two<\/strong> printed pet images- approximately 3.5&#215;5 inches each\u00a0 <em>(two color ways done in the Olli app- see Olli app colorways in photos ) , <strong>one<\/strong> <\/em>12&#215;12 inch felt for backing + 5.5&#215;8.5 felt to back pet,\u00a0 small paper and fabric ephemera for embellishment + <em>plus<\/em> oodles of pet project examples to inspire.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Supplies Students need :<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Most of what you need for this class you already have. This is a great way to use scraps and bits you\u2019ve been saving but don\u2019t know why!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 yard Wonder Under <strong><em>or<\/em><\/strong> Misty Fuse <strong><em>or<\/em><\/strong> other brand double fabric fuse you like<\/li>\n<li>iron (parchment or Teflon sheet is good to protect iron from fuse)<\/li>\n<li>Small pieces of fabric to use in collage. <em>A gallon size bag of scraps in colors you love will be more than enough \u2013 hand dyed and printed fabric especially nice.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Buttons, ribbons, lace \u2013 dig through your stash.<\/li>\n<li>Rotary cutter, cutting matt + Ruler (don\u2019t have these tools? scissors will work)<\/li>\n<li>A pair of fabric scissors<\/li>\n<li>Your sewing machine and a variety of threads<strong>*<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><em>Optional<\/em> Embroidery floss or pearl cotton of your choice, needles for hand stitch if you want to add textural embellishment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>*Sewing Machine needed?<\/strong> <em>The class is designed to use a sewing machine but fusing and hand stitching only is possible if you prefer.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We all love our sweet faithful pets and now you get to honor yours in fabric.
